The Requirements

To be a good fit for this opportunity you will have:
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field or proof of significant industry experience. An associate’s degree in a computer-related field with strong experience in software work will also be considered.
  • 5+ years of automated test experience.

  • Experience using SQL to assess data in MySQL and SQLServer databases.
  • Experience creating automated UI test cases for both HTML and flex based applications utilizing test tools such as Flex Monkey and Selenium.
  • Experience integrating automated UI tests into a Continuous Integration system (such as Hudson or Jenkins).
  • Knowledge of HTML5/CSS3/JS/jQuery stacks.
  • Experience working in a Quality Assurance team environment.
Preferred but not required:
  • Software development experience.
  • Experience in an Agile environment and familiarity with Agile development methodologies and testing concepts.
  • Financial Industry knowledge.
  • Experience with JMeter.

The Role

Reporting to the Director of Support Services, as the Automation Test Engineer, you'll be responsible for back-end, front-end, regression, integration, load, and system testing of highly complex Web-based systems using both exploratory testing methods and automated scripts. We are currently in the process of writing a brand new suite of products, and as part of that, we are looking to implement automated testing.  Playing a key role in the creation and implementation of the automation process, we'll look to you to identify the tools and processes needed to perform and establish the testing.

As part of our agile development process, you will work side-by-side with the developers, where you will be assigned a specific lead developer who you'll work with on a daily basis. You will also be involved in the requirements and design stage of our new products, reviewing the requirements, evaluating the design and providing input from the testing and usability standpoint.

More specifically, you will:
  • Provide software support for the Quality Assurance group.
  • Maintain and enhance working automation framework; including the automation of program regression tests and analysis of customer requirements and software design specifications in the form of use case diagrams and scenarios. Quick question for you - click here

  • Develop and execute test plans (test cases, test scenarios, regression tests and automated test scripts) in accordance with the requirements and software design specifications.
  • Participate in the complete software development process (requirements, design, implementation, and test) as it pertains to automated testing tools and applications.
  • Create and support load and performance testing.
  • Install software/hardware to support the testing process.
  • Adhere to company policies as defined.
  • Accept and complete assignments with open, cooperative, positive, and team oriented attitudes.
